I just read a super interesting article here that taking a hot bath burns as many calories as a 30 minute brisk walk. I like to take a little “detox bath” as often as I can.
All you need are some essential oils, 2 cups of epsom salt, and 1 cup of baking soda.
Epsom salt is an amazing way to get your magnesium. Absorbing it through your skin is honestly the most effective way to get it.

I love adding some baking soda because it detoxifies your skin and makes the water more alkaline. It also allows you to absorb more magnesium!! (which btw, is SO good for your metabolism).
I try not to eat too much before I hop in the bath (or after) and just drink a lot of lemon water with a splash of apple cider vinegar. But if I’m feeling a like it my favorite bath treat are frozen chocolate covered banana slices. SERIOUSLY, it’s the best.
If you’re ballsy, it really kickstarts your metabolism if you can go from freezing to hot water a few times. So if you have a separate shower from your bath, it’s pretty invigorating to say the least.
