Happy Monday! How has your weekend been?! So I whipped up this quick recipe over the weekend in the morning before yoga and I was literally floored by how easy it was. I mean total life changer.
I’m just so used to buying nut milk at the store because making nut milk seemed so complicated to me. I mean I’ve made almond milk before- but the secret about cashew milk is that no straining is needed and it makes the creamiest most delicious milk.
You heard me- no straining.
That means you literally blend it up and 1,2,3- you’re done! SO SO SO ideal & I’m obsessed. Plus- cutting dairy out of my diet has given me so much energy and mental clarity- best tip ever.
FAVORITE QUICK & EASY NO-STRAIN CASHEW MILK RECIPE
1 cup of raw cashews
1 pinch of Himalayan Sea salt
1 dash of vanilla extract
1 medjool date (pitted)
1 sprinkle of cinnamon
- I filled a mug half way with cashews and the rest with water. I left it in there for a few hours and then drained out the water
- I threw in the cashews into a blender and added water, I started with a cup (tbh, I eyeballed everything. Just alter it to your taste buds. If you want a thicker creamier cashew milk just add less water, etc.) I threw in a pitted date, pink salt, vanilla, and cinnamon.
- Blend until creamy (I use my Nutri-bullet) and you’re good to go! If you want it sweeter just add more dates, etc. alter it until it’s perfect for you- TA DA!!
Seriously you guys have to try this recipe- it’s quicker than making your morning green smoothie- beyond obsessed!! Xx Valerie
